SUPPORT

Thank you for considering financial giving to SAMS Ireland. Here are some of the options which may be of interest to you:

  • Legacies

Once you have made provision for your loved ones, legacies which are directed through SAMS provide valued resources which support and develop the work of the Church in South America. Legacies demonstrate good stewardship and are also tax efficient as any amount given to SAMS is currently free from inheritance tax.

For further details please contact Denis Johnston (SAMS General Secretary) in complete confidence.

  • Standing Orders

Many people are now choosing to give regularly to SAMS through their bank account. Such giving can be monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual. Download a printable Standing Order form if you are a UK resident or if you live in the Republic of Ireland please contact the office. Those who are UK taxpayers could also consider using the Gift Aid scheme.

  • By Cheque or Cash

If you prefer to make a “one-off” donation, your cheque should be made payable to SAMS Ireland and sent to SAMS House. We can also receive cash gifts at the office but would advise you not to send cash donations by post.

  • Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, we would encourage you to make use of the Gift Aid scheme, which will increase the value of your gift by approximately 28% at no extra cost to you. The scheme can be used either for single or regular gifts to SAMS. You need only sign a Gift Aid Declaration once and this will cover any donations you may decide to make in the future. Of course you are free to cancel your Gift Aid Declaration at any time (for example if you cease to be a UK taxpayer). Download a printable Gift Aid Declaration.

  • Mission Box

Mission Boxes may be requested by individuals and churches. Some use them all the year round; others make use of them during Lent. If the contents of a Mission Box can be identified as the personal giving of a specific individual who has signed a Gift Aid Declaration, SAMS Ireland can benefit from the extra 28%.
