St Andrew’s College was founded in 1963 in the capital city of Asuncion. It started as a kindergarden which would also teach English and have a daily time of Bible study. To begin with classes were held in the vestuary of the English chapel and the playground was the church grounds. The Lord blessed this work. People wanted to send their children and so a primary school was also needed. In 1967 the first building and the primary school were inaugurated and the school was recognized by the Ministry of Education. From here the school grew and in 1975 a secondary school was also started with the first school leavers finishing at the end of 1981. The beginnings of the school bear witness to the dedication of the first teachers and to the sacrificial giving of many people. Since then the school has become well established in Paraguay and is known for its level of English, its English discipline and also for its spiritual foundation. In 1998 the school buildings were restructured and a new extension built in 2001. The school now enjoys a well equipt modern campus.
